Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the Caregiver Campaign?

Each fall, Covenant Health Foundation hosts an annual Caregiver Campaign, The Power of One Heart. One Heart invites Covenant Caregivers to make a personal investment of their treasure towards their most passionate cause. This campaign allows every caregiver of the Covenant family to connect with our mission and support our patients and caregivers through personal financial contributions and/or to support our greater community through donating to United Way. One Heart combines the United Way Campaign and the Covenant Cares Campaign for one simple ask, but two compelling opportunities to give and make a difference.

The Power of One Heart represents the powerful difference philanthropy can make when a large group of supporters join together to give personally meaningul gifts in support of their passions for improving our community, internally and externally.

7. Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. Your donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

8. Will I get Fair Share Hours for donating?

The true Power of One Heart is found in collective giving. Each person giving of their time, talent, and/or treasure, while expecting nothing in return. This is philanthropy. The Gospel of Luke reminds us in the 6th chapter, "Help, and give without expecting anything in return. You'll never - I promise - regret it". As we approach the season of giving, you are invited to give a gift through The Power of One Heart. Covenant Health will not be awarding fair share hours in exchange for your gift. However, you can be confident that your donation is impacting lives, improving patient care, and making a difference inside and outside the walls of Covenant. We challenge you to consider making a meaningul gift this season. And we promise, you won't regret it!

9. I already give so much of my time or energy, why should I make a financial donation?

The answer is simple: As caregivers at Covenant, we have the great privilege of seeing first-hand the impact one person can make on the well-being of our patients. We have a great opportunity to be good stewards of what we have been given. Strong caregiver participation proudly demonstrates to our community that, together, we are invested in Covenant. And ultimately, giving feels good. Rest assured, every dollar stays local.

10. I want to donate to both, Covenant Cares & United Way. How can I do that?

First, thank you for your generous gift! To donate to both, please visit the Covenant Cares donation page, then the United Way donation page.

11. I am choosing Hour of Power for my donation, but the amount shows $111?

The $111 is a default amount since we do not know your hourly rate. Payroll will calculate that total based on your hourly rate and that amount will change to their calculation.
